What are the connections of steel structures?

  (1) Welding seam connection

  The weld connection is a local melting of the beakers and welded parts by the heat generated by the arc, and the welding parts are connected into a welded parts by cooling.

  Advantages: Do not weaken the cross -section of the component, save steel, simple structure, convenient manufacturing, large connection stiffness, good sealing performance, easy to adopt automated operations under certain conditions, high production efficiency.

  Disadvantages: The thermal impact area formed by steel near the welding seam may be brittle in some parts of the material; during the welding process, the steel is unevenly distributed and cooled. The bearing capacity, rigidity and use performance have a certain impact; because the welding structure is large, the local cracks can easily expand to the whole, especially the crispy break at low temperatures; There may be defects and reduce fatigue intensity.

  (2) bolt connection

  The bolt connection is to connect the connecting parts into one through the fastener of the bolt. Two types of bolt connection are divided into two types: ordinary bolt connection and high -intensity bolt connection.

  Advantages: Simple construction technology, convenient installation, especially suitable for installation connections in the construction site, and easy to disassemble. It is suitable for the need for disassembly structure and temporary connection.

  Disadvantages: need to open holes on the board and assemble on the plate to increase the manufacturing workload, and the accuracy of manufacturing is higher; the bolt hole also weakens the section of the component, and the connection parts often need to be overlapped or added auxiliary connection to each other. Board (or corner steel), thus constructing more and more steel.

  (3) Rivet connection

  The rivet connection is a rivet with a semi -circular prefabricated head head at one end.   Disadvantages: Complex rivet technology, expenditure for manufacturing, and high labor intensity, so it has been basically replaced by welding and high -strength bolt connection.
